The maestro is being honored again with a nomination for Best Original Music for his work on 127 Hours at the prestigious British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards. This is the second time Ar Rahman has been nominated at the BAFTA's, he took home the trophy for Best Original Music for Slumdog Millionaire in 2010.
Also nominated in the category are Danny Elfman - Alice in Wonderland, John Powell - How To Train Your Dragon, Hans Zimmer - Inception and Alexandre Desplat - The King's Speech.
The film, directed by Danny Boyle, who also directed Slumdog Millionaire, was nominated in six other categories including Best Actor for James Franco, Best Director for Danny Boyle and Outstanding British Film. This year's celebration of the very best in film will take place on February 13th at the Royal Opera House in London's Covent Garden.
